CHECKPOINT BOMBING — Explosive ordnance personnel assigned to the 1st Cavalry Division’s 3rd Brigade Combat Team sift through the wreckage of a vehicle-borne improvised explosive device that detonated at the entrance to an Iraqi National Guard compound that borders the International Zone in central Baghdad Dec. 14, 2004.
