Car bomb near Iraqi PM's office

A car bomb has gone off near to where the Iraqi prime minister works, killing two policemen.
The car exploded when a suicide bomber tried to drive through a police road block near to the offices of acting prime minister Iyad Allawi.
He is not believed to have been in the building at the time but at least 20 other Iraqis were injured in the blast.
The vehicle exploded, shaking most of the Iraq's capital city Baghdad and sending a cloud of smoke over the area.
A week ago, another top Iraqi politician, Abdel Aziz al-Hakim, was unhurt in a blast that killed 13 people at his offices in Baghdad.
Rebel fighters have been very active in the run-up to Iraqi elections, which are planned for 30 January.

It's thought they are against the elections because they are backed by the US, who they want to pull out of Iraq.
Iraqi police and National Guards will be trying to keep the elections safe.
